Night Stands: I confess, I’m a creature of consistency, which is why both of our nightstands are also integral pieces from the West Elm Modern Collection. While this exact model is no longer available, West Elm offers a slightly larger version that maintains the same clean lines and aesthetic. The Perfect Bed & Bedding Ensemble

My bed is truly a centerpiece of comfort and style in our master bedroom. We opted for a versatile base and headboard combination rather than a single large bed frame. This smart choice offers incredible flexibility, allowing us to easily swap out either the headboard or the base whenever we desire a refresh, without committing to an entirely new bed set. It’s a design decision that perfectly aligns with our evolving tastes and ensures our bedroom always feels fresh and personalized.

Headboard: Our Florentine Geometric Headboard was a beloved find from Wayfair several years ago. Unfortunately, it is no longer in stock. Should it ever reappear, I will be sure to update this post with a direct link for those hoping to replicate its unique charm.

Bed: We are proud owners of a king-size Sleep Number It Bed, paired with its accompanying metal base. We’ve enjoyed this bed for a few years now, and we absolutely love it – primarily for its signature Sleep Number feature that allows us to precisely control the firmness on each side, ensuring personalized comfort every night.

Duvet Cover: I have a soft spot for white duvets; they bring such a crisp, clean aesthetic to the bedroom. This particular cover was a lucky score during an Anthropologie sale. While this exact design is no longer available, Anthropologie currently offers a fantastic selection of beautiful ruched white duvets that capture a similar serene and textured feel. Explore options like the Toulouse Duvet (which is the closest match), the Textured Chevron Duvet, the Joey Washed Percale Duvet, and the Ruched Hampshire Duvet.

Sheets: My absolute go-to for sheets are West Elm’s cotton sheet sets. I currently rotate between a soft pink set and a serene grey set. They are beautifully basic, incredibly comfortable, and become wonderfully affordable during West Elm’s frequent bedding sales – a perfect combination of luxury and value.

Accent Pillows: For accent pillows, I love hunting for unique finds and great deals at Target, West Elm, and Anthropologie. The geometric, colorful pillows currently adorning my bed are from Anthropologie and are similar to these geometric designs. I also couldn’t resist picking up a luxuriously soft Mongolian Lamb pillow from West Elm (the fluffy blue one) when it was on sale, and I’m seriously tempted to add another one for extra texture and comfort!

Thoughtful Decor Details

Every detail contributes to the overall aesthetic of a room, and our master bedroom is no exception. From wall art that adds personality to lighting that sets the mood, each piece of decor was chosen to enhance the bright and airy theme, while still reflecting our personal style.

Square Mirrors: The two square mirrors hanging above my dresser have been cherished pieces for about six years now, a fantastic find from IKEA. It appears they currently offer a similar design, though it’s available in black. These mirrors not only add a decorative touch but also help reflect light, making the room feel even more spacious.

Artwork: The vibrant prints adorning our walls are from an Etsy shop called Printable Studio. They are incredibly reasonably priced, with the caveat that you handle the printing yourself. I then framed them in simple Target frames, removing the glass to eliminate any glare. This method created an affordable, simple, yet impactful way to introduce lively pops of color and artistic flair to the room.

Light Fixture: The day I updated our light fixture was truly a happy day! This elegant Flushmount Fabric Shade from West Elm was an absolute steal at just $99. Its clean design and soft illumination perfectly complement the bright and airy aesthetic of the room, enhancing the overall comfort.

Lamp: Another fantastic sale find, this chic table lamp was purchased several years ago from West Elm. Its minimalist design and warm glow contribute to the serene atmosphere of our master bedroom, making it perfect for evening reading or creating a cozy ambiance.

Lush Plants & Stylish Pots

No room feels truly complete without a vibrant selection of plants! With the newfound abundance of natural light thanks to our VELUX skylights, all the plants in our master bedroom are absolutely thriving. I’ve also been careful to select varieties that are known for being resilient and hard to kill, making them perfect for both seasoned plant parents and beginners. Plants: Our master bedroom boasts a variety of greenery, including a couple of hearty pothos plants elegantly cascading from hanging planters. I’ve also strategically placed two more pothos plants on nightstands and dressers, as I adore their lush foliage and ease of care. In our bathroom, a resilient cactus adds a touch of desert charm. Our standout plant, however, is the striking mother-in-law’s tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata) which provides wonderful height and a beautiful splash of color, enhancing the vertical dimension of our space.

Many of the smaller pots throughout the room were sourced from IKEA; their selection rotates frequently, so it’s always worth checking your local store for current offerings. For larger plants, I prefer to keep them in their original nursery pots and then place them inside decorative, oversized baskets. Some of my favorite basket styles include a natural seagrass basket, a textured rope woven basket, and an elegant tapered basket, all of which add warmth and natural texture to the room.
