My Latest Stitch Fix Unboxing: Fall 2015 Style & Trends

Before I dive headfirst into party preparations, I’m thrilled to share another exciting update: my latest Stitch Fix delivery! For those unfamiliar, Stitch Fix is a personalized styling service that sends you hand-picked clothing and accessories based on your style profile. It’s like having a personal shopper deliver fashion right to your doorstep, making wardrobe updates incredibly convenient and fun. For this autumn delivery, I received five carefully selected items, and I ultimately decided to keep two of them. Can you guess which pieces made the cut? All these beautiful photos are expertly credited to the talented Brooke Alexandra Photography.

1. En Creme Asana Back Detail Sweater (Size S) – $58.00

This black sweater immediately caught my eye with its sleek design and versatile appeal. I’m absolutely obsessed with the way it fits, offering a flattering silhouette that pairs perfectly with leggings and my favorite fall boots. It’s wonderfully lightweight, making it an ideal layering piece for cooler autumn days without feeling bulky. The most unique feature is its open and airy back detail, which adds a subtle touch of elegance and a modern twist to a classic wardrobe staple. While I adored the style and fit, I must admit the texture of the fabric wasn’t as soft as I typically prefer. It’s not rough by any means, but it lacks that luxurious, super-plush feel often sought in cozy fall knits. Despite this, its chic design and effortless pairing potential made it a strong contender for my closet.

2. Pixley Kaity Open Cardigan (Size S) – $78.00

Embodying everything wonderful about autumn, this Pixley Kaity Open Cardigan truly felt like a warm embrace. Its fabric is exceptionally soft to the touch, providing that comforting, cozy sensation we all crave as the temperatures drop. The beautiful fall-inspired color palette and relaxed open front make it an effortlessly stylish addition to any ensemble. I particularly love its versatility; you can easily throw it on over a simple v-neck tee, a blouse, or even a casual dress, pairing it with leggings or jeans for an instant, put-together look. It’s the kind of piece that transitions seamlessly from a casual weekend brunch to a relaxed evening at home, offering both comfort and chic style. This cardigan quickly became a favorite for its unbeatable softness and quintessential fall vibe.

3. Look by M Della Tartan Plaid Scarf – $34.00

As a devoted scarf enthusiast, I firmly believe that scarves are the ultimate fall accessory. A girl can truly never have too many! This particular Tartan Plaid Scarf from Look by M instantly captured my heart. Its bold yet classic plaid pattern offers a timeless autumn aesthetic that can instantly elevate any outfit. What truly set it apart, however, was its incredible softness – it felt luxurious against the skin, providing both warmth and comfort without any itchiness. I don’t currently own anything quite like this in my accessory collection, making it a truly unique and appealing addition. Its generous size also means it can be styled in various ways, from a simple drape to a cozy wrap, adding both flair and warmth to crisp fall days. It was a definite “sold” item for me!

4. Papermoon Garland Keyhole Halter Blouse (Size S) – $44.00

While I absolutely adored the fabric of this Papermoon Garland Keyhole Halter Blouse – it felt lovely and of high quality – the fit, unfortunately, just wasn’t right for my body type. In my experience, high-neck styles, especially those with a halter design like this one, tend to be less flattering for individuals with a larger bust. They can sometimes create an appearance that feels restrictive or disproportionate. Beyond the aesthetic fit, there was a practical concern: wearing a standard sports bra or even most everyday bras with this design proved to be quite challenging, if not impossible, without visible straps. You all know how important comfort and practicality are for me, especially when it comes to active wear-friendly pieces. Despite its beautiful material and charming keyhole detail, these fit and functional issues ultimately led me to decide against keeping it.

5. Crescent Linder Split Neck Top (Size S) – $58.00

This Crescent Linder Split Neck Top landed squarely in the “just okay” category for me. There wasn’t anything particularly offensive about it, but it also didn’t spark any excitement or feel like a must-have addition to my wardrobe. The fabric, while not terrible, didn’t impress me with its texture or drape – it felt somewhat uninspired. Similarly, the fit was passable but not exceptional; it didn’t flatter my figure in any distinct way. My least favorite aspect was arguably the color: a bright green that, while vibrant, just didn’t resonate with my personal style or complement my complexion as much as I’d hoped. To top it off, the top arrived quite wrinkled, which, while easily remedied, sometimes indicates a fabric that might be high maintenance or prone to creasing throughout the day. Ultimately, it lacked that special something to make it a keeper.

After careful consideration of all five pieces from my latest Stitch Fix box, I ultimately decided to keep the stylish black sweater and the wonderfully soft tartan plaid scarf. These two items felt like genuine additions to my fall wardrobe, offering both versatility and comfort that I truly value. The remaining pieces, while not entirely without merit, simply didn’t ignite that spark of “I need this in my life!” and were promptly sent back to Stitch Fix HQ.

One of the aspects I absolutely adore about Stitch Fix is the ability to request specific items or categories for upcoming boxes. This level of customization makes the styling service incredibly effective and truly feels like a personal shopping experience tailored just for me. For my next Fix, I’m already planning to request a few elegant dresses, perfect for the upcoming holiday party season. It’s an invaluable feature that takes the stress out of finding the ideal outfit for any occasion, making fashion exploration super simple and enjoyable!

Don’t forget to join us as we celebrate five incredible years of Fit Foodie Finds! We can’t wait to see you there!
